Yes, walking fast and often will help burn fat.
You can not spot reduce. Belly fat will be the last to go.
I lost weight and got down to 19% body fat but my tummy was the last to go. I was flat chested before I lost my stomach.

If you burn more calories in a day than you take in your body will burn fat to use as energy. Where that fat first comes from in your body varies a little from person to person. (genetics) However there are common places in the body that are the hardest to get ride of. The stomach is one. But if you eat healthy and exercise ( walk) over time the fat will come off everywhere. For a long time it was thought that you could not “spot ” reduce fat but now recent studies have suggested you can. Lots of excitement about this and you will find it easy to find articles about on line or in fitness magazines. If you want to target your stomach I suggest you look for some of the articles outlining the new studies results. This months MENS Fitness magazine has a very good article about spot reduction of the stomach area. I know you are not a man but mite be worth taking a look at article while you are in the store if they have that mag. Good Luck

You’ll lose weight all over your body as you work out. Nevertheless, it doesn’t hurt to do ab exercises once you’ve completed your walk.
