They Say, Carbs, Proteins You Don’t Burn Off Turn Into Fat, How Long Does It Take For Them To Turn Into Fat?
And how do you know if and when you’ve burned off your carbs? I work out 6 days a week and run on the 7th day. I do cardio almost everyday, usually 30 minutes or so, but I can’t seem to get a flat stomach, I still have a bit of a belly. Should I be running more, lifting more weights? Or is it my diet… I eat eggs, oatmeal (with no sugar or fat), strawberries, fiber 1 cereal and a banana for breakfast. Then usually have a protein bar (2g of sugar, 5 gram of fat and 18 carbs) mid morning, penult butter sandwich at lunch and two fruit yogurts for mid afternoon snack. I then work out.
Usually 1 hour of weight lifting followed by 30 mins of cardio.
For dinner I usually have chicken and or turkey and broccoli (or another dark veggie).
How do I get rid of that stubborn belly fat?

According to my gym instructor,who is a retired body builder,to lose my stomach fat I need to jog more,do alot of sit ups and don’t eat much.

check your body fat to see if it is going down staying the same of getting higher you may be burning off muscle also do more ab workouts, but you have to lose the fat on the stomach for your abs to show

For carbohydrates, the body will use it to fuel the central nervous system, the kidneys, and the red blood cells first (these need carbohydrates to function). It will then try to store as much of the remaining carbohydrates as muscle and liver glycogen. The body will then try to burn off as much of the remainder as possible (this is why people become hyperactive after they eat candy). If there is any left over (there is usually not much left), the body will store it as fat.
Protein has a similar (but not identical) metabolic fate in that the body will use it to repair tissue and make enzymes first. The body will then de-aminate and oxidize the rest in the Krebs cycle. The remainder (usually little) is stored as fat.
Adding more weightlifting is definitely good because it will increase your lean mass which will burn extra calories 24 hours per day.
