Is This Diet Ok To Burn Off Last Bit Of Belly Fat?
I’m trying to get rid of my last bit of belly fat and have seen some results. I started a diet but its so simple I don’t know if I could do better or what. I stay below my maintenance level for calories though, and I no fast/junk food at all. I basically eat a source high in protein with a fruit/vegetables, sometimes a yogurt, and either a glass of milk or water, 5 times every day. For example, for breakfast today I ate 3 eggs, a banana and a glass of milk. I pretty much repeat this all day except with different foods but the same “combo”, stick to a food high in protein with a fruit/veggie side which is usually high in carbs. Tuna, chicken breast, peaches, apples, etc. are some examples I use through the day. Am I taking in too many carbs through fruit and vegetables? Any suggestions, foods, or ideas on things I should change or add to my fridge? =P

It sounds like you are sticking to a sensible routine. Make sure that your caloric intake is never below 1500, no matter what.
Everyone wants to get rid of belly fat. There is no perfect way to do it, but there are a number of exercises that will help according to Dr. Peter Francis of San Diego State University. He compared various stomach exercises to see which ones were the best overall to flatten the belly.
Stomach exercises don’t remove fat from the belly alone, but help with fat loss overall, which in turn leads to fat loss on the belly. That is how any exercise or weight loss works. Stomach exercises strengthen the stomach muscles, which helps keep the stomach flat by holding everything in place.
Dr. Francis’ research suggests that the best exercise overall for the stomach is called “the bicycle”. You lie on the floor with the lower part of your back pressed into the floor. Bend your knees at a 45 degree angle and move your legs as if pedaling a bike and alternately bringing your right elbow to your left knee and your left elbow to your right knee as part of the pedaling. If you haven’t done this exercise before you may be able to do only one to start, or you might even have to work up to doing one, but stick with it until you can do 10 or 20 or more.
Another very good exercise is the simple crunch or one of the varieties of the crunch. Lie on the floor, bend your knees to a 90 degree angle, bring your chest toward your knees, return to the starting position, and repeat as many times as you can. I sometimes do this one with my lower legs resting on a chair.
Part of flattening the stomach also means flattening the inward curve of your lower back. Stand against a wall and get your lower back as close to the wall as possible. Try to remember and maintain that position during the day.
Of course, these exercises are not enough. To lose fat you have to include aerobic exercise and healthy eating – walk, run, jog, bike or swim and watch the calories.

For most people, in order to maximise fat loss you must burn more calories than you consume. After that, genetics will determine if you can actually have visibly ripped abs. Some people do not have the right genetics to burn that last padding of fat so they get it liposuctioned off. It works for a while but their body returns to normal in due time due to its genetic program. Try reducing your portions for each meal your consume a day. If you do this and keep the same exercise routine you will probably lose an extra few pounds and perhaps that lingering layer of fat.
