If I Can’t Lose Fat Off My Stomach, Then Why Do We Do Crunches, Sit-ups, Etc.?
I’m fourteen, and i have 33% of body fat, but I am highly active. Most of my body fat is near my stomach. I was going to do different abdominal exercises, but they say crunches and sit-ups don’t burn fat off your stomach which makes no since. What does this mean and what can i do to lose belly fat and lower my body fat percentage?

Hi,
You have several hundred muscles in your leg, butt, hip, thigh and lower stomach area. The major problem is, not exercising these muscles correctly will make your trouble spots worse and more pronounced, while risking serious injury. However, the right exercises that use these muscles in harmony with each other can bring definite results without spending unrealistic amounts of time on ineffective exercises and risking long term set-backs. You don’t need access to a gym because this type of approach doesn’t require weights and machines.
A year ago I was an out of shape with my lower body was the worst, carrying an extra fat on my stomach. My thighs and butt are quite big. After joining a program which i accidentally found while surfing the web for my consultancy project, i have made the dramatic changes and i feel young, healthy and sexy again. Even my legs are much more slimmer then before. The point is, there’s a much FASTER, BETTER and CHEAPER way to get fit and melt the body butter once and for all without gyms, weights or fancy shmancy expensive exercise equipment.
Previously, i have tried all kinds of workouts and spending a fortune just to look good while presenting my clients, but without success. I recommend this workout to you because it’s affordable and this is the program that finally boost my self esteem and it probably could help you too. The trainer is a real pro with a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. He could easily be contacted by email or through toll free number and office address display at the site. In general, you cannot target certain areas (i.e. your tummy) to reduce fat. As your body burns fat, it will occur throughout your body. That is perhaps why “they” say crunches won’t burn belly fat. Building muscle will reduce body fat over time and you should consider a whole body workout as opposed to just targeting your stomach. But the best way to lose fat and to trim down your stomach is by controlling your diet. Although I should not create an eating regimen for a 14 year old, here are some tips:
Avoid fast foods
Drink only water (not even diet soda)
Reduce your consumption of grains, pastas, and rice
Eat breakfast
Snack on fruit
At dinner, try to fill up on the healthy stuff first (salad with little dressing, veggies) then slowly eat the main course
Avoid the late night snack
Eating right always takes discipline and it is not fun. Stay strong and good luck.

I’m no expert but I have some recent experience that may be helpful.
I found myself a couple of months ago over weight. I weighed 90kgs which is about 10 kgs over what I should weigh for my height.
In the last seven or so weeks I’ve completely (well 99%) given up snacks. I only eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. (I also drink less alcohol). I have also been going to the gym 4 or 5 times a week. I do a little stretching, some sit ups, some weights and some cardio vascular – and exercise bike and a cross training (30 mins of CV each session).
I have lost 7kgs in as many weeks and I am convinced that there are two key factors; no snacks and the CV.

Abdominal excercises help strengthen the abs but don’t neccessarily remove that layer of body fat around the area. I found this guy at this site ( http://rippedabsnow.ucoz.com/ ) who shows you how to reduce all the excess body fat around your body and abdominals, so this should be an extremely helpful aid to you.

You need a balanced fitness program, including Cardio, Weight Training and Nutrition. If your just doing an ab workout your building stomach muscle under the fat. You have to burn the fat off. That’s were a complete Fitness Program come in.

run or walk doesnt matter
if u dont do the crunches and tone ur belly

your body burns fat all over not in specific areas and if you have 33 % body fat and you think you are active you probably are not as active as you should be

they don’t burn the fat, only cardio does that
they tone the muscle and tighten things up
