Only if you eat less calories than you are burning. Dancing is good exercise, but as with any weight loss, you have to burn more calories than you eat in a day…

you won’t be able to spot reduce your belly fat, you need to reduce your overall percent body fat and strengthen your core muscles … pick up cardio that uses the whole body, like swimming or martial arts type stuff …
the dancing will help, but it will depend on what kind and if you are running a daily caloric deficit to lose fat …
you will likely lose some water weight your first week or 2 so don’t be surprised if your weight loss slows down a little after that …
slower is more permanent in losing weight, a pound a week should be your goal …
you can do 2 pounds a week, but your body will try to adapt if you do this too long which will make leaving your diet routine hard and you will hit plateaus …

Depends on the kind of dancing I guess, but it’s got to be better than sitting around watching TV! How fast you can lose weight depends largely on your gender, age and height, so it’s hard to say how fast you could lose 45 pounds.

any activity that gets your heart pumping is good news in regard to burning calories. you’ll also lose all-over weight though, (this probably isn’t a bad thing? i don’t know) as you can’t target weight loss.

depends..if you take in 1000 calories and only burn 300, then you won’t loose any weight…
