How Do I Lose Remaining Belly Fat? (once And For All!)?
I’m 5’2, weight about 115-120 (gained from working out), with a slim (not skinny) and somewhat curvy figure. I’ve been working since mid-May – mainly doin swimming aerobics 2x/wk and some strength training on the side. I’ve been doin ab workouts (mainly the bicycle manuevers).
At first, my intention was to just tone all around and not lose any weight but the only “fat” i have is my tummy. Thin girl, big belly – it’s genetics. It’s now July and my belly has trimmed, it’s flat but still flubby. I’m kind of getting frustrated…and i’m really hoping to have it very lean by the end of the month.
What cardio fat burning exercises do you recommend? Any more ab exercises? Do i just have to do ab workouts everyday? Like I said, I don’t wanna lose too much weight so I was going to do moderate cardio….

Running. You’re at the point where you’ve probably got a lot of muscle under the fat, but all the crunches or bicycles or whatever won’t help if you have fat covering those muscles. You can’t spot reduce, but if you’re trying to lose weight (I’m assuming you could stand to lose about 10 lbs of fat; I’m 5’4 and weigh 110 and have defined abs) you will need to exercise more than 2x a week. It should be more like 5 times a week.
Don’t worry about losing too much weight…if you think you are, then just ease up on the exercise.
Also, I’m not sure how much weight you have already lost, but sometimes the skin is stretched out after losing a lot of weight, and then you will ALWAYS have that flabby appearance until you get it surgically altered via a tummy tuck (this happened to me but I had lost 60 pounds).

Many females make the mistake of doing only or mostly cardio workouts to lose weight. It does not work that way … you HAVE to include strength training in there as well. Women tend to leave out strength training because they’re afraid that they’ll bulk up like men .. but this simply will not happen because women respond to the stress from strength and resistance training differently than men. Men bulk up when they get stronger, women don’t bulk up like men do .. they just get stronger and more toned.
I do not want to recommend any strength training routines, I’d rather you consult with a trainer or sources on the internet so you can decide for yourself which might be best for you. Your workout routine should consist of 50 percent strength training and 50 percent cardio (consider interval cardio). You should also workout 3-5 times a week, 2 won’t be enough.
Finally, stick to a healthy diet (exercise is just half of what you need to do to lose, maintain, or gain weight). If you’re trying to lose weight, you should take in less calories than your body requires to function (known as daily calorie expenditure). For example: if your body’s daily calorie intake is 1300 calories, you should take in less .. about 1100 or 1200. Do not drop too low, you’ll feel weak during the day if you do. Also keep in mind that this is just to lose weight … once you reach the desire weight, you should slowly increase your calorie intake back to 1300 with a moderate level of exercise (low intensity) done 2 times a week. If you’re not sure what your daily calorie expenditure is, check online to see how to figure out what your calorie intake should be … it’s usually determined by your age, body weight, and BMI, and regular calorie expenditure.
If you’re still in doubt or you don’t see results within the next 2-3 weeks, consult with a professional or do some more research. Hope this helps

It isn’t an exercise issue, it’s a diet issue. I’m betting you have fantastic ab muscles already.
Look up your BMR. There are calculators online. Many of them will also let you put in your daily routines so you can see both your BMR as well as the number of calories you burn from activity. Once you know the total number of calories you burn per day, then you’ll eat fewer calories than that each day.
You can’t target specific area’s of the body. Bummer, I know. But over time your body will remove fat deposits from your tummy too.
