Do Crunches Burn Belly Fat?
No. Resistance exercises that challenge muscles cause an increase in metabolism. With a low carb (not zero carb) diet, the body will use body fat for energy. Fat is where energy in excess of the glycogen capacity will end up for storage. You can’t target spots on the body for fat reduction.
With increased regular exercise and a reasonably controlled diet the targeted muscles will tone and this can be mistaken for spot reduction. The overall long term program will result in fat loss from the abdomen, but it’s the toning that you will notice first.

yeah they do and they also develop the ab muscles if you want to just burn the belly fat off then do a lot of repetitions if you want to show off ab muscles then do less repititions with resistance
