When we want to get rid of body fat, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing sit ups won’t burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won’t get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve. The way to burn fat is through a calorie restricted diet in conjunction with an exercise routine that will burn calories. Activities that burn calories include running, biking, swimming and other high intensity activities.

Any exercise will burn calories and any muscle built from exercise is going to raise your basal metabolic rate and therefore burn more calories. With this said, this is not going to be your most effective way to get to where you can see your ab muscles.
You are going to need to pay close attention to two elements:
1. Your diet – if you aren’t clean here, all the work that you put into your physique won’t show as your diet is going to be a big portion of your fat loss program.
2. Cardio – this is what is going to help you effectively burn the fat that is covering your ab muscles currently. Hit a cardio session in the morning before you eat (water only) as this will force your body to pull from your fat stores (exclusively) for energy.
Keep up with the resistance training as you will want to build up your muscles. This will payoff when you have lost enough body fat to see your abs. Your abs are the hardest part of your body to get to show as you will have to get your body below 10%, and possibly below 8%, before you will see your abs. Once you do see them though, you will never want to go back.
Good luck!!

You need to run….it is the best most effective body fat burner you will do. My friend was kind of fat from a C section and it had been 2 years since her daughter was born, she started running, Challenging your body, making sure you make your body sweat, and her stomach is slimming down and toning up.

Well, you shouldn’t notice results that quickly. At your age, your muscles are still developing so it will be a while before you get noticeable abs. I’d suggest just to keep working at it and you’ll see results some day.

NO, you cannot target where fat burns, you can only burn total body fat.
