Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows what the best excercises for losing bellyfat are? The other parts of my body are normal but I just can’t seem to get rid of some fat on my stomach that has been upsetting me for years. I know that stomach cruches and situps and that only help build muscle and dont help burn fat, you just build muscle underneath the fat but you wont see a difference until its gone. any excercises that have worked for you? any types of food maybe as well? thanks!

best way i find to lose body fat is to do interval training 3 times a week
it raises your heart rate and stimulates your metabolism, so you burn through more calories through the day
so… 6 short sprints at the park when you’re walking the dog, spin classes, kickboxing, shadow boxing, circuit training… anything involving short and sharp exercises that get you sweating.
don’t listen to that person who suggested long, slow runs because when you keep your heart rate low, you are training your heart and lungs fantastically, but you are not kickstarting your metabolism. with interval training, it is 20-30 minutes of intensity which leaves you burning fat for a long time afterwards, as opposed to long cardio which only burns fat whilst you are doing it..
you can’t really target where you will lose the fat, the best way is to train and condition your body. as you get fitter, the fat will drop off.
in terms of foods, try to stick to low g.i. carbs throughout the day (so whole grains like brown rice and brown bread, and minimise sugar) and no carbs after 8pm. when you need a snack, go for fruit or nuts or something. and green tea i have found is nice to have in the afternoon between lunch and dinner with some fruit or almonds, it has antioxidants which stimulate your metabolism over time.

There’s no way to spot reduce fat other than liposuction.
Best way is to have a good balanced diet, do cardio 3+ times a week and strength training 2+ times a week.
The diet help is obvious, cardio will burn fat and is good for your heart and lungs, and strength training will give you more muscle which means a higher metabolism (which means your body will burn more fat).

If you want to lose the belly fat you will need to focus on fat burning exercises and modify your diet. A couple good articles to guide you through this process are “How to Exercise for Maximum Fat Burning” and
“Best Way to Lose Weight.”

Brisk walking at least 30 minutes every day will help to reduce belly fat. The key is to be persistent over a few months. A well rounded low fat diet drinking lots of water each day also helps.

Long slow runs, until you sweat. The more you sweat the more you lose. Eat heaps of fruit and drink water.
