Of course there's a way! It just requires a bit of effort and determination. It isn't the easiest to lose weight but you are young and if you really want to lose it, you can.
The number one way is a combination of exercising regularly and eating better. To start yourself off, the best way to find an activity that you can enjoy and requires physical work. That way, your doing something you enjoy and burning calories. While you do that, you have to try to eat healthier. That means more natural and less processed. Instead of a junk food, grab an apple. For dinner, try to eat the best you can by avoiding (or eating very little of) heavy sauces, high fat content-foods such as cheese, and fried foods. Depending on how your family eats, it may be easier or harder but always try your best. Another tip on eating better is to eat a wide range of different food types (remember the food pyramid?) and in smaller portions, meaning eating less. Eat until your full, don't try to stuff yourself with more food that your body doesn't need at the moment! One other thing. Cut the soda and high-sugar drinks and drink more water. That is very important. If you already do that, great. Keep it going.
Over time you will gain more energy if you stick to exercising everyday for at least 30minutes. When you feel like it is too easy and you can step it up, increase the time. Don't get bored either, because you will if you don't switch up routines once in awhile. Walk the block, then run the block. Get involved in a variety of sports. Ride a bike or take up skateboarding. Ever try rock climbing? You could even start weight-lifting if you have a gym nearby that allows younger people to use the equipment. Another tip is to decrease TV/computer time and to do things around the house. You'll keep moving, therefore burning calories. I know this sounds like a lot but it will help if you stay commited. Don't forget that you are working to lose the weight and feel healthier, both physically and mentally.
Never give up! You can do it. You won't see results right away but over the long run, you will begin to notice. Develope healthy habits now and you will stay fit and slim as you grow older.
