Does Doing Sit Ups Help You Burn Fat In Your Stomach Or Does It Make You Toned?
The sit-ups won’t technically burn fat in your stomach. When you do excercise it doesn’t selectively burn fat, however, it will cause you to burn fat somewhere and because it will tone your stomach muscles.

it only tones and builds muscle.
it also helps speed up your metabolism
so i suggest you do crunches, and then do some cardio
