Best Way To Get Rid Of Stomach Fat?
I am curious. What is the best way to burn fat, more specifically stomach fat but I have been told and believe that you can’t target one part of your body to burn just that area of fat. Also I don’t need and am not interested in gaining muscle.
Details: 6’2, 210 lbs
I do light lifting on Mondays and Wednesdays
Spend 20 minutes on the Elliptical (10 Minutes Level 2 Cardio setting, 10 Minutes Level 2 Weight Loss setting)
I’m in college so I need an inexpensive diet.

Your body (at your size) will burn nearly 1800 calories a day doing absolutely nothing. The average person IS doing nothing and taking in over 2500 calories per day. Eat light meals 6-7 times per day. Get a normal sized cereal bowl. Every meal you eat should fit in that bowl, not heaping over the top. If you can’t fit it in that bowl, don’t eat it. There’s your portion size.
Do a calorie log for a week… right down everything you eat every day, include your drinks. Most people don’t have a clue how many calories are in their foods… drinks, toppings, peanut butter, jam…. Keep your calories under 2100 for a week. The eliptical is good if it works for you. Do it 4 times per week, monday, tuesday, then thursday, friday, rest the weekend. Add a minute a day to get to 30 min. On friday, go all out, as long as you can (safely). You have two days to recover.
After losing the weight you need to lose, bring your calories up a couple hundred to maintain your body.
Change up your routine, go for a run, bike, basketball, jump rope. Do a week of one thing, change it up. It’s called muscle confusion. Also, go backwards, works different muscles….

Abdominal fat is perhaps the hardest area of the body to lose fat and tone muscle accordingly. On the other hand it is the most common area men and women alike are looking to work on and define when they are young and older. It is important to clear the myths up front that there is no specific food or herb or supplement that can help you lose weight in one area versus another. This is the trap many people fall into each and every time they set their sights on their problem areas and hope for this miracle food or pill to work.

Eat lots of yogurt (Activia) and fibrous foods. Drink more water. Eliminate white foods, pasta, bread as they make your stomach bloat.
