Any cardiovascular exercise will help you burn fat; however, a person can not spot reduce. That being said, you can not exclusively burn body-fat off of your stomach. Your body will burn body-fat over all parts of your body.
In terms of cardiovascular exercises that would best burn body-fat, I would recommend running or using an elliptical machine with upper body cranks. You can run either outside (if you run outside, I recommend softer surfaces so it is easier on your joints) or on a treadmill. I recommend an elliptical machine with upper body cranks because you can work both your upper and lower body; this will ultimately help your body burn more calories.

You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.
Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.
High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.
Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!

Exercising and fitness is the best way to lose weight. Eating a healthy diet is the best way to keep the weight off. Exercise and a balanced diet are the key factors in fat loss and weight reduction. If you are eating more calories than you are burning off throughout the day the result will be that the calories will be stored as fat. Rather than using fat burners (as such) prevent a build up of body fat by either reducing your calorie intake or increasing your daily activity levels – doing both will have the best effect on reducing body fat. To burn fat, your body needs oxygen – this is why cardiovascular exercise (which relies on oxygen for energy) is essential for fat burning. Include 40 minutes of varied aerobic activity at least three times a week. You may find it easier to accumulate the exercise time throughout the week by breaking up exercise into smaller sessions.

the best thing for fat burning is high intense circuit training, go to a gym and have a day for upper body and a day for lower, never work the same thing two days in a row.
ex. upper body circuit- bench, curls, incline, tricep pressdown, hammer curls, decline, dips, and tricep extension. do 4 reps of each and then repeat the circuit 4 times

You can not isolate the area of your body you wish to loose fat on. You can loose body fat overall by reducing calorie intake and increasing cardiovascular exercise.

If you do sit ups then you will just work out the muscle beneath the fat. And you want to eliminate the fat first! So just go running for 30 or 40mins.
